The Today anchors are praying for the safe return of Savannah Guthrie’s mom. 

After the journalist—who was absent from the NBC morning show Feb. 2—confirmed that her mom Nancy Guthrie had been reported missing in Arizona, her on-air family rallied to show their support.

“We love Nancy,” Jenna Bush Hager said during the Feb. 2 episode of Today with Jenna & Sheinelle. “I know her personally.”

Arizona authorities are searching for the 84-year-old after she was reported missing Feb. 1, Pima County Sheriff Chris Nanos shared in a press conference. And while authorities have announced that Nancy has no known “cognitive issues,” the sheriff noted Feb. 2 that she suffers from “some physical ailments, has some “physical challenges” and is in need of medication.

“Medication that if she doesn’t have in 24 hours,” Nanos continued, “it could be fatal.”

Meanwhile, Sheinelle Jones emphasized on Today the importance of community during this difficult time. 

“I thought to myself, ‘OK, this is when we’re at our best as a community,’” she said of the daytime show’s call to action, urging viewers to contact the Pima County Sheriff’s department with any information about the matter “no matter how small.”
