Savannah Guthrie Mom Reported Missing

A search is underway for Savannah Guthrie‘s mom.

The Today anchor confirmed that Nancy Guthrie, who resides in Arizona, has been reported missing.

“On behalf of our family, I want to thank everyone for the thoughts, prayers and messages of support,” she said in a Feb. 2 statement obtained by Today. “Right now, our focus remains on the safe return of our dear Nancy.”

“We thank law enforcement for their hard work on this case,” the statement continued, “and encourage anyone with information to contact the Pima County Sheriff’s Department.”

Arizona authorities are searching for the 84-year-old after she was reported missing Feb. 1, Pima County Sheriff Chris Nanos shared in a press conference.

“You don’t typically get the sheriff out at a scene like this, but it’s very concerning what we’re learning from the house,” he told reporters. “This one stood out because of what was described to us at the scene and what we found and located just in looking at the scene.”
