Amanda Seyfried on Kids, Choosing Hollywood Projects

Amanda Seyfried knew that in time, her career was going to change.

As the actress celebrated her double nomination at the 2026 Golden Globes for The Testament of Ann Lee and Long Bright River, she detailed how welcoming her and husband Thomas Sadoski‘s kids Nina, 8, and Thomas, 5, changed her perspective on which projects to take on.

“To be recognized for anything,” Amanda exclusively shared in a joint interview with director Mona Fastvold  on Live From E!: Golden Globes 2026 on Jan. 11 at the Beverly Hilton in Beverly Hills, Calif., “especially as you get older and the choices are harder to make because you’re away from your kids, is so sweet.” (See more celebs on the red carpet here.)

The 40-year-old, who was nominated in Best Female Actor in a Motion Picture for Musical/Comedy and Best Female Actor in a Television for Limited Series, Anthology Series or Television Motion Picture, couldn’t have been more thrilled to conclude the evening with two nods in very stacked categories at the Nikki Glaser-hosted event.
