Taylor Swift on Breezy Johnson Engagement to Connor Watkins

Taylor Swift is enchanted by one Olympian’s love story.

The “Opalite” singer celebrated the engagement of Team USA’s Breezy Johnson and her fiancé Connor Watkins, who proposed at the 2026 Milano Cortina Games using lyrics from Taylor’s song “The Alchemy.”

Indeed, moments after the alpine skier crashed during the super-G event Feb. 12, Connor met her at the finish line where he popped the question with a ring box engraved with the final line of the chorus, “Honestly, who are we to fight the alchemy?”

“Hey guys… meet Connor! My ex boyfriend! And current fiancé!!!” Breezy wrote on Instagram alongside pictures of the moment. “Thank you to everyone who made this moment possible. It was everything I ever dreamed of. Kind of like Connor!”

And Taylor seemed to like Connor’s style, as she chimed in with more apt lyrics from the track inspired by Travis Kelce, writing in the comments section, “‘Where’s the trophy? He just comes running over to me’ CONGRATULATIONS!!!”
