The Seattle Seahawks have reestablished their dynasty.
After the Patriots and Seahawks faced off during Super Bowl LX Feb. 8 at Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, Calif., the Seattle team have achieved their second Super Bowl win in history.
“It’s a dream come true,” Seahawks running back Kenneth Walker said in a post-game interview. “A lot of people play their whole career and never make it this far.”
Meanwhile, cornerback Devon Witherspoon called the win a truly “wonderful” feeling and joked, “I’m gonna have a drink or two or maybe three, who knows?”
For quarterback Sam Darnold, who nabbed his first Super Bowl win after eight years in the league, the win felt “unbelieveable.”
“Just everything that’s happened in my career but to do it with this team, I wouldn’t want it any other way,” Sam said in a post-game interview. “I’m so proud of our guys.”
And considering Sam was passed from team-to-team over the years, he was especially floored to experience this huge moment.
“All of teammates, all my coaches I’ve ever had, always believing in me,” he added. “I’ve always believed in myself because of my family and my friends. It’s as simple as that.”
