Super Bowl 2026: Green Day Performance

Green Day hopes you have the time of your life at the 2026 Super Bowl.

After all, the Grammy-winning musicians opened the big game with a rendition of their hit song “Holiday” before the New England Patriots face off with the Seattle Seahawks Feb. 8.

Before singing the 2005 song, past Super Bowl MVPs, including Tom Brady, Jalen Hurts, Eli Manning, Peyton Manning and Jerry, made their way down to the turf to celebrate six decades of the biggest night in football to an instrumental of “Good Riddance (Time of Your Life).”

Indeed, the bandmates Billie Joe Armstrong, Mike Dirnt and Tré Cool taking the stage was in honor of the Super Bowl’s 60th anniversary at Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, Calif. Following “Holiday,” they transitioned to “Boulevard of Broken Dreams” before jumping into “American Idiot.”

Ahead of their feature at the Super Bowl—where Bad Bunny is headlining the Halftime Show and Charlie Puth will perform the national anthem—the Northern California-native band couldn’t have been more excited to hit the stage so close to their hometown of Rodeo.
