Jennfier Garner on Biting Actor’s Ear During Scene

Jennifer Garner once took “play it by ear” a little too literally.

The star of The Last Thing He Told Me recently recounted reuniting with actor and stuntman Sala Baker on the series set, almost 20 years after the pair took a fight scene for a different project to a whole new level.

“The last time I fought him was in The Kingdom,” Jennifer explained during a Feb. 3 panel for the show, per The Hollywood Reporter. “Pete Berg, who was the director, told him to try to kill me. We did not have a lot of choreography, and he told me to do anything I could to survive.”

“He did, and I did, and I ended up scrambling onto his back,” she went on. “I bit his ear, and we have a picture of him missing a chunk of ear, because we were not kidding.”

So, when she and Sala reunited for a scene in which he tries to kidnap her character during season two of The Last Thing He Told Me, neither one held back.
