Years after the Duchess of Sussex and longtime pal Jessica Mulroney’s friendship seemingly shifted, the fashion stylist’s estranged husband Ben Mulroney shared where the one-time besties stand now—though he admitted the details weren’t his to divulge.

“It’s Jess’ story to tell,” the Canadian media personality said on the Jan. 28 episode of the Can’t Be Censored podcast. “I wouldn’t speak for her, so if she ever wants to talk about it—but from what I understand, they’re on positive terms.”

Jessica and Ben—who separated in July after 16 years of marriage, according to multiple outlets—were close friends with Meghan while she filmed Suits in Toronto. In fact, the exes’ three kids were part of the former actress’ wedding party when she exchanged vows with Prince Harry in 2018.

But Jessica’s bond with Meghan, 44, reportedly became fractured around 2020, when influencer Sasha Exeter accused Jessica of “textbook white privilege,” which the former Good Morning America contributor later apologized for. Following the allegation, Jessica deleted her social media, but when she later reactivated her profile, a photo taken at the royal wedding had been deleted, sparking speculation of a falling out.
