Tyler Johnson & Emily Maynard React to Birth of Ricki Hendrick’s Baby

Emily Maynard Johnson and husband Tyler Johnson couldn’t be happier to add a new rose to their garden.

After the Bachelorette alum’s daughter Ricki Hendrick—who she shared with late race car driver Ricky Hendrick—announced that she gave birth to her first baby, Romi, the new grandparents shared a slew of adorable snaps capturing their first moments with the family’s newest addition.

“We became grandparents today!!,” Emily—who starred on season 8 of the ABC show—and Tyler captioned the joint Jan. 23 Instagram post alongside three white heart emojis. “The feeling is inexpressible. This is love.”

In one sweet photo, Ricki’s mom shares a kiss with her stepdad, who is cradling his granddaughter in his arms. In another, the whole family—including Emily and Tyler’s kids Jennings Tyler, 10, Gibson Kyle, 9, Gatlin Avery, 7, Magnolia Belle, 5, and Jones West, 3, —smiled for the camera as Ricki, 20, held her little girl while lying in her hospital bed.

The couple—who tied the knot in 2014—concluded their caption with a biblical reference, adding, “1 John 4:7-11.”
