Legally Blonde TV Show Elle Release Date on Prime Video July 1

Elle Woods will march her last season Prada shoes onto screens this summer.

Indeed, Reese Witherspoon announced that the Legally Blonde prequel series Elle, starring newcomer Lexi Minetree in the titular role, will debut on Prime Video July 1.

“I’m just really emotional because 25 years ago, Legally Blonde came out in July,” Reese told Lexi and her fellow cast members Chandler Kinney, Gabrielle Policano, Jacob Moskovitz and Zac Looker in the Jan. 21 Instagram announcement. “So, this will be the 25-year anniversary of Legally Blonde.”

The Morning Show star added, “We get to have a new Elle Woods in the world!”

But Reese’s exciting news didn’t end with the show’s premiere date.

“I have one more thing to tell you guys,” the 49-year-old—who serves as one of the show’s executive producers—continued. “I just got off the phone with everyone at Amazon, and they love the show so much they ordered a season two.”
