Jennifer Lawrence has no hard feelings about the Margot Robbie role she was once in contention for.
The Die My Love actress revealed that she lost out on playing Sharon Tate in Quentin Tarantino‘s 2019 film Once Upon a Time in Hollywood after trolls on the internet said that she wasn’t attractive enough for the role.
Jennifer’s revelation came up during an appearance on Josh Horowitz‘s Happy Sad Confused podcast after the host suggested that Quentin wants to work with her.
“It’s true, he said that,” he explained on the Jan. 12 episode. “The Hateful Eight, the Jennifer Jason Leigh part was originally written for you, I believe.
The Oscar winner confirmed the rumor, admitting, “I turned it down, which I should not have done,” before Josh shared that the director then wanted Jennifer to appear in his 2019 film alongside Brad Pitt and Leonardo DiCaprio.
“I think Once Upon a Time in Hollywood, too,” he asked, “didn’t he want you?”
The No Hard Feelings star also confirmed that as well, going on to share the surprising reason she ultimately didn’t take on the coveted role.
