Prepare to see a lot more trauma on The Pitt‘s second season—and not just injuries.
After all, Shabana Azeez, who plays third-year medical student Victoria Javadi on the HBO Max show, teased that there’ll be “lots of breakdowns” similar to the one Dr. Michael “Robby” Robinavitch (Noah Wyle) experienced during his shift on season one.
“We’re still filming,” the actress revealed in an exclusive E! News interview at The Hollywood Reporter and Spotify Nominees Night event in Los Angeles Jan. 8. “I was at work today and I’ll be at work tomorrow.”
Given that the entire season will once again take place inside the ER at the Pittsburgh Trauma Medical Center, Shabana added there will be plenty of blood.
“Not a spoiler,” she quipped, “because obviously there’s gonna be heaps of gore.”
And just like the day shift—and night shift—staffers, the cast and crew are “like a family” in real life.
“It doesn’t feel like it’s gotten glossy or different,” the 28-year-old shared, explaining how The Pitt‘s recent success at the 2026 Critics Choice has not changed the vibes on set. “It’s a really sweet place to be.”
