Cynthia Erivo Missing 2026 Golden Globes, Wicked: For Good Nominated

Cynthia Erivo has taken her broom across the pond.

The Wicked: For Good actress won’t be attending the 2026 Golden Globes in Beverly Hills on Jan. 11 because she’s preparing for her one-woman show in London.

E! News confirms Cynthia will be absent from the award show—where she’s nominated for Best Female Actor in Motion Picture Musical/Comedy—while she works on the upcoming production of Dracula on the West End. 

The three-time Oscar nominee will be playing 23 characters onstage, including the titular vampire, according to Variety.

Cynthia only just reached the end of the yellow brick road with Wicked in November, when the musical sequel hit theaters. Still, it’s an experience that will stay with her for life.

In fact, she previously shared an emotional goodbye to Elphaba, noting how her character has since made her a sentimental woman.

“I could write you an essay, a poem, Shakespearean prose, to describe what this journey has meant to me, what lessons this time has taught me, bought me,” she captioned her Nov. 21 Instagram post. “I could try to give a metric to the love I have felt and experienced.”
