“Even just the idea of the kid you’re looking after disappearing, is a nightmare,” Jake said in an exclusive interview with E! News. “Sarah talked about building from that place, and then bringing that across to the parallel life that’s been constructed for this character. So that you’re not on set living in some mindset of my child is gone, but using that emotional life to inform where that character is.”
The Emmy nominee, a dad to two sons with wife Lauren Deleo, added, “I find this job so fulfilling. I love living in my imagination and working with people and creating stuff.”
But he’s also aware that acting is pretend.
“Figure out how to shake it off,” the White Lotus alum advised. “Then, go live your regular life. Do what you got to do to let it go and then go back to your world.”
